Paediatric Physiotherapy
Paediatric physiotherapy supports the assessment and management of movement, developmental and musculoskeletal conditions in infants, children and adolescents.
Treatment is delivered in a way that’s engaging and appropriate for each child’s age and stage, working closely with parents, carers, GPs and paediatricians to support healthy movement, development and participation in everyday activities, school and sport.
Conditions we treat:
- Gross motor developmental delay
- Congenital muscular torticollis and positional plagiocephaly
- Toe walking
- Developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and dyspraxia
- Cerebral palsy
- Hypermobility and joint laxity conditions
- Supportive rehabilitation following developmental hip dysplasia (DDH) management (e.g. post-harness/post-cast gross motor and gait rehabilitation)
- Supportive rehabilitation following clubfoot (talipes) management (e.g. post-casting/bracing mobility and gait rehabilitation)
- Gait abnormalities, including in-toeing, out-toeing and flat feet (pes planus)
- Scoliosis screening and management
- Osgood-Schlatter disease and Sever’s disease in adolescent athletes
- Post-fracture rehabilitation in children
- Sports injuries in children and adolescents
